If I were you, I’d be asking myself why the hell I need to know this. So yeah, let’s cut to the chase.
The reason why you might want to know how to determine your WordPress sidebar width is to enable you create and insert all of sorts of banner ads with their appropriate width.

So do check that post out whenever you can. For now, here is our walkthrough in these 6 easy steps.
Step 1: Go to your website Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
Step 2: Type in a couple of sentences made up of dummy text and save
Step 3: Go back to your website, preferably by opening an incognito tab using this combo Ctrl+Shift+N in your Chrome browser. Next, right-click or do another combo Ctrl+Shift+I to open the select Inspect element option
Step 4: Move your cursor to the right hand side of the bar that just popped up below and select an element in the page to inspect it or simply do a Ctrl+Shift+C
Step 5: Hover your mouse over the sidebar of your site and locate the dummy text you’ve saved in step 2. Take a look at the extra info on the side. The highlighted element displays its size something like “315.66 x 155”.
Step 6: Using the same technique, you can equally check the space dedicated for your entire WordPress Sidebar Width in pixels.
